Codling moth (Cydia pomonella) bores into the fruit and makes it unmarketable. Alt'Carpo netting is a physical barrier that stops the moth reaching the tree, reducing damage and reliance on insecticides. At Textil Villa de Pego we manufacture the mesh to your orchard's dimensions since 1949; it is fitted single-row over each row or as a full cover on the structure you already have. We supply the net, not the structure.

How it is fitted
The net is deployed as a pitched single-row cover over each row, or as a full orchard cover, and closed at the sides to keep the moth out during its flight period. It is fixed with PET monofilament thread (Agropet®) and accessories that do not cut the fabric. We manufacture rolls and panels to the size of your rows, reinforced at the anchor points.
Frequently asked questions
Do you install the net?
No. We manufacture and supply the net made to measure; fitting it on your structure is done by you or your installer. We advise on configuration, sizing and fixing.
Do you also sell the structure?
No. We sell the fabric (the net). The post-and-cable structure is provided by the grower; our net adapts to the one you already have.
Which fruit crops is it for?
For pome fruit (apple, pear) and stone fruit (plum), among others. We recommend single-row or full cover according to the crop and codling-moth pressure.
Is it made to measure?
Yes. We cut and make it up to your plot's dimensions, with the right mesh gauge to act as a barrier against codling moth.
