Hail wounds the bunch in seconds: it splits the berry, opens wounds and lets rot set in, downgrading both grade and quality. Hail netting is a physical barrier that cushions the impact of hailstones while letting through the rain, air and light the vine needs. At Textil Villa de Pego we have manufactured the mesh to your plot's dimensions since 1949; you fit it on your own trellis. We supply the net, not the structure.

How it is fitted
The net is drawn over the trellis — as side netting over the fruiting zone or as a full canopy cover — and fixed with PET monofilament thread (Agropet®) and accessories that do not cut the fabric. The mesh grid stops the stone without blocking the rain or sprays. We manufacture rolls and panels to the size of your rows, reinforced at the anchor points.
Frequently asked questions
Do you install the net?
No. We manufacture and supply the net made to measure; fitting it on your trellis is done by you or your trusted installer. We advise on sizing, net type and the fixing system.
Do you also sell the trellis or structure?
No. We sell the fabric (the net). The post-and-wire structure is provided by the grower; our net adapts to the one you already have.
Is it for wine and table grapes?
Yes, for wine and table-grape vineyards. We recommend the configuration (side or canopy) and mesh gauge according to your row spacing and typical hailstone size.
Is it made to measure, and in which colours?
Yes. Available in black and in crystal (transparent); crystal shades less and is common where maximising light on the bunch matters.
