Bird netting for vineyards
We protect the ripe bunch from bird pecking up to harvest. We manufacture the net to size; it is fitted on your trellis.

EU
Starlings and other birds attack the bunch as the grapes begin to ripen and sugar up, causing direct losses and opening the way to rot. Bird netting is a physical barrier that protects the bunch up to harvest. At Textil Villa de Pego we manufacture the mesh to your plot's dimensions since 1949; it is fitted as side netting over the fruiting zone or as a canopy cover. We supply the net, not the structure.
Advantages for your crop
Protects the bunch
Prevents pecking by starlings and other birds on ripe grapes, reducing losses and rot up to harvest.
Side or canopy
Fitted over the fruiting zone or covering the canopy, according to your row layout and management.
Made to measure
We cut and make up the net to your row dimensions, on the existing trellis.
Reusable
Deployed at ripening and gathered in after harvest to be reused the following season.
How it is fitted
The net is drawn as side netting over the fruiting zone or as a canopy cover, and fixed with accessories that do not damage the vine. It is deployed as the grapes begin to colour and gathered in after harvest. The mesh gauge stops the birds while keeping air and light. We manufacture rolls and panels to the size of your rows, reinforced at the anchor points.
Frequently asked questions
Do you install the net?
No. We manufacture and supply the net made to measure; fitting it on your trellis is done by you or your installer. We advise on configuration and fixing.
Do you also sell the structure?
No. We sell the fabric (the net). The post-and-wire structure is provided by the grower; our net adapts to the one you already have.
Side or canopy?
Both configurations are possible; we recommend the most suitable one for your row layout, bird pressure and harvest management.
Is it made to measure?
Yes. We cut and make it up to your row dimensions, with the right mesh gauge to keep birds out.
Other applications
We manufacture made-to-measure netting for many other crops and uses.
