At Textil Villa de Pego we make mesh bags for lemons designed for the whole citrus circuit: from the grove to the warehouse and from the pallet to the shelf. The raschel mesh bags for lemons keep the fruit ventilated, dry and on view, avoiding the condensation that spoils the produce in closed packaging. A Spanish manufacturer since 1949 with an ISO 9001 quality system, we adapt sizes, capacities and printing to your sales format.

Total ventilation, zero condensation

The raschel mesh fabric lets air pass continuously around each lemon, dissipating field heat and residual moisture. This avoids the condensation that, inside a closed pack, accelerates fungus, mould and loss of firmness during storage and transport.

Colour and grade always on view

The open mesh structure lets you see the colour, grade and condition of the citrus without opening the bag. A direct commercial advantage in wholesale markets, export and at the point of sale, where the lemon sells with the eyes first.

Strength for the whole chain

Made in high-tenacity polyethylene and polypropylene mesh, they take the weight of the citrus, pallet stacking and repeated handling without deforming or giving way at the seams, from packing to distribution.

Made to measure and branded

We adjust sizes, capacities, mesh colour and closure system to your sales format, and print your logo, variety or traceability details directly on the bag.

Why choose mesh bags?

Lemons need to breathe. A mesh bag maintains a constant air flow that removes field heat and residual moisture, two factors that, in a closed pack, turn into condensation, fungus and loss of firmness. Raschel mesh combines that breathability with a surface that does not retain water and dries instantly, leaves the produce on view at all times and stacks on a pallet without crushing the fruit. The result is a drier, ventilated and presentable citrus for longer, without resorting to closed plastic packaging.

Recommended bag

Leno Mesh Bag

For lemons we recommend the Leno (raschel) mesh bag: its light, highly breathable tubular weave protects the grade and colour of the citrus, withstands pallet stacking and takes brand printing, making it the most balanced option between ventilation, strength and market presentation.

Frequently asked questions

What type of bag is best for packing lemons?

The Leno or raschel mesh bag is the most suitable option for lemons: its open mesh guarantees constant ventilation that prevents condensation and rot, shows the colour and grade of the citrus and withstands stacking. For more demanding formats we also make the monofilament bag in HDPE/PP, with a more rigid mesh and great durability.

Do you make the bags to measure and with our brand?

Yes. As a manufacturer we adjust the sizes, capacity, mesh colour and closure system to your sales format, whether retail or bulk. We also print your logo, variety or traceability details directly on the bag to reinforce your brand on the shelf and in export.

What sizes and capacities are available?

We work with various sizes, capacities, colours and closures (open mouth for sewing, printed band or wicket-type label), adapting them to your usual grade and weight. Being a manufacturer, we fit the bag to your specific format instead of forcing a single catalogue size; tell us your presentation and we will prepare a proposal.

Mesh bags for other crops

We manufacture custom mesh bags for every type of fruit and vegetable produce, nuts, firewood and aggregates.
