Onions need to breathe. Packed in a closed bag they retain moisture, condense and start to rot before reaching the point of sale. Total ventilation, no condensation
The open structure of the leno/raschel mesh allows continuous air flow through the bag. The onion does not sweat or build up internal moisture, which reduces mould, sprouting and rot during storage and transport.
Produce on view with enhanced colour
The mesh shows the grade, condition and natural colour of the onion without opening the pack. On the shelf, the weave enhances the golden, white or red tone of the bulb and drives impulse purchases against an opaque bag.

Why choose mesh bags?
For onions, mesh is the only coherent option.
